Pokémon has become a regular fixture in our monthly Collectors Sales, and the results of the past year show clearly where the demand lies: complete sets, sealed items and Japanese releases.

A complete Pokémon Black Star Promo set made £1,400 in our December 2025 Collectors Sale, sharing top billing with two gold pocket watches. Black Star Promos were given away through events, magazines and products rather than in booster packs, so a complete run is genuinely difficult to put together.
In June 2026, two Japanese Pokémon Neo Premium File Vol 2 folders, one still sealed, led the entire sale at £1,100. Sealed Japanese product from the Neo era turns up far less often than loose cards, and bidders compete hard when it does.

What makes a Pokémon lot sell well
- Completeness – full sets usually achieve more than the same cards would sold individually.
- Sealed product – unopened folders, boxes and packs attract the strongest competition.
- Japanese and promotional releases – these are often scarcer than their English equivalents.
- Condition – store cards flat, out of direct sunlight and in sleeves where possible. Please don’t try to clean them.
