Rare LPs, first pressings, signed records and complete collections, assessed and sold by our team. Monthly sales attracting collectors and dealers across London and beyond.
About the Department
First pressings, rare labels and collections across rock, jazz, soul and punk are graded carefully. Matrix numbers, inserts and sleeve condition all count.
Our vinyl sales feature rare pressings, signed records, promotional copies and complete collections spanning rock, pop, jazz, soul and classical. Every lot is assessed by our in-house team, who understand the difference a first pressing, a sleeve variant or an artist signature can make to value.
If you want to sell vinyl records, whether a handful of rare finds or a lifetime’s collection, London Auctions can help you unlock its full value. We offer free initial valuations with no obligation, and whether you choose to proceed with us or not, our team will give you honest, practical advice on the best route to market.

Vinyl Records we sell
We welcome single rare pressings through to full collections, estates and probate instructions.
Sell With Us
Whether you are selling an entire collection or just a few records, we make the process straightforward. We cover classic rock, jazz, blues, pop, hip-hop, electronic, country, indie, soul, reggae and more, and records by The Beatles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac, limited editions and picture discs all sell well.
Lesser-known artists can be more desirable than famous names because they rarely come up at auction. Many records hold little value, though, and where that is the case we may put you in touch with a third party or try to arrange a private sale for you.

Frequently Asked
You can get a free valuation four ways: visit our saleroom Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:30pm) or at our valuation mornings every other Saturday, send photos via WhatsApp for the fastest response, submit an online request with photos and a description, or post smaller items to us free of charge. One of the team reviews your records in person or from photos and responds within one working day, with no obligation to consign.
We sell vinyl records including rare and first pressings, signed copies, promotional and test pressings, picture discs and box sets, across rock, pop, jazz, soul and classical. We also handle full estate and probate collections, from a handful of rare finds to a lifetime’s collection.
Our fee structure is simple: a £1.50 + VAT lotting fee per item, plus 18% + VAT commission on the hammer price. For example, £1,000 worth of records sold would net you £784 after commission, excluding the lotting fee. There’s never a charge for the initial valuation, whether or not you go ahead.
Once your records sell and all buyers have settled their invoices, we process payment by bank transfer within 21 days of the sale ending.
We prefer records in good condition with minimal wear, and condition will affect the valuation, but we are happy to enter collections in average condition at lower estimates.
