Gold and jewellery at auction: our strongest results of the past year

An 18ct gold necklace and bracelet set at £2,700, a George Christou necklace lot at £2,100 and a 9ct gold curb chain at £1,700 – gold and jewellery have led sale after sale.

Gold and jewellery are consistently among the strongest categories in our monthly sales. With bidders across the UK and overseas, well-described pieces with verified metal content regularly finish at the top of the results.

Why XRF testing makes a difference

Where hallmarks are missing, worn or unclear, we use our in-house XRF analyser to confirm the exact metal content of a piece without damaging it. Bidders can buy with confidence, which helps jewellery reach its full value. Find out more about XRF testing.
