At London Auctions buying couldn’t be easier, we run monthly sales of between 600 and 1000 lots. There is always something to suit every taste. Whether you are a collector, dealer or complete beginner we promise that our auctions will get you hooked!

We conduct two types of auction-timed and live.

You can bid on both from the comfort of your own home.

Timed Auctions are online for 7 days (usually Sunday to Sunday) you can bid on the lots in our timed sales throughout the week. The hammer usually drops on the first lot at 12.30pm with each lot ended 30 seconds after the previous!

Live Auctions we tend to release the catalogue between 5 & 7 days before the sale. You can leave pre sale bids through our bidding platform or the Easyliveauction platform. On the day of the sale you will be able to access a live webcast and bid at home from the comfort of your sofa!

Buy with Confidence

We aim to describe every lot as accurately as possible, each lot is always photographed from multiple angles and we are at hand to give full condition reports from the moment the catalogue goes live. We always encourage bidders to come and view in person. This can be done on advertised viewing days or by making an appointment with the office.

Buying Fees

Our buyers commission is a straightforward 18% plus VAT (subject to a minimum £1.50 plus VAT per lot). There is also a 3% plus vat charge for bidding online. This makes the total commission payable 25.2% inclusive of VAT.

Worldwide Delivery Service Available

Our experienced and reliable packing team are able to wrap and dispatch ALMOST anything and have it arrive at your door. Whether you like in the UK or beyond. Our basic shipping rates can be found below but we always recommend you get in touch for an accurate estimate. For larger orders of multiple lots we can only offer an estimate once we know exactly what you have purchased. Rest assured we are regularly praised for our fair and transparent postage and packaging charges. We are also happy for you to send couriers and third parties to collect purchased lots on your behalf.

***Please note that high value items are always sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery or a fully insured courier service. Fragile items are subject to a packaging fee and we reserve the right to refuse to ship any item which we aren’t confident will travel well.

Payments and Collection

Once the hammer drops on the final lot of the sale invoices will be sent via email. Your invoice will contain details of how to pay via bank transfer as well as a secure link to make a credit or debit card payment online. You will also be able to request a shipping quote at this stage. Payment is required within 7 days of the auction ending.  Payment is accepted by the following methods:

Our designated collection days are always the two days following the auction ending unless otherwise stated. We are open from 9am until 5pm for collection on these days. Outside of these days you will need to arrange an appointment in order to collect your goods. We reserve the right to charge storage fees on any lots not collected within 7 days without prior arrangement.

FAQ

I have purchased a number of lots, are you able to send them to me?

Yes, we are able to package and dispatch any number of lots. They may have to be sent over a number of parcels. We also occasionally send larger purchases to be delivered via a man & van style courier or in one of our own vans if you are within London and the South East

I made a bid in the last minute on a timed sale but then time was added to the auction, is this correct?

Yes, our timed sales are designed to stop people from using bots and software in order to “snipe” in the last seconds of the auction. If a bid is placed in the last 5 minutes of the lot due to end, this end time of that lot will be extended by a further 5 minutes.

I am having technical difficulty bidding. Can anyone help?

Feel free to call or email the office if you are having technical difficulties with bidding or paying. We will try our best to assist and if we can’t we will pass you on to the technical support department.

The hammer price on the lot I purchased was £100, how much will I pay in total with commission?

Your invoice will be for a total of £125.20.(plus any shipping charges)

I can’t collect within the 7 days as I am on holiday, are you able to hold my purchase for me?

We understand that people are not always able to collect on designated days. We are flexible and can hold goods so long as they are paid for and we are made aware of this. However we reserve the right to charge storage if it becomes a regular occurrence.
