About the Department

London's Pokémon and trading card auctioneers

First editions, graded slabs and sealed product attract fierce bidding. A 1993 Magic: The Gathering Collectors’ Edition set sold for £4,382.

Our trading card sales feature rare and first-edition Pokémon cards, graded slabs from PSA and other services, Match Attax, sports cards and other collectable trading cards. A first-edition Charizard or a graded holo rare can command genuinely significant sums, and our team know how to spot the difference. Every lot is assessed in-house, drawing on real knowledge of set rarity, condition grading and market demand.

If you want to sell Pokémon cards or another trading card collection, whether a single graded card or a full binder, London Auctions can help you unlock its full value. We offer free initial valuations with no obligation, and whether you choose to proceed with us or not, our team will give you honest, practical advice on the best route to market.

Frequently Asked

Common questions

How do I get a free trading card valuation?

You can get a free valuation four ways: visit our saleroom Monday to Friday (8:30am-4:30pm) or at our valuation mornings every other Saturday, send photos via WhatsApp for the fastest response, submit an online request with photos and a description, or post smaller items to us free of charge. One of the team reviews your cards in person or from photos and responds within one working day, with no obligation to consign.

What sort of trading cards do you sell?

We sell Pokemon cards including rare, first-edition and graded examples, along with Match Attax, sports cards and other collectable trading cards. We also handle full estate and probate collections, from a single graded card to a full binder.

How much does it cost to sell?

Our fee structure is simple: a £1.50 + VAT lotting fee per item, plus 18% + VAT commission on the hammer price. For example, £1,000 worth of cards sold would net you £784 after commission, excluding the lotting fee. There’s never a charge for the initial valuation, whether or not you go ahead.

When will I receive payment?

Once your cards sell and all buyers have settled their invoices, we process payment by bank transfer within 21 days of the sale ending.

Are your fees negotiable for large card collections?

Our basic commission is 18% + VAT with a £1.50 + VAT lotting fee, but our charges are negotiable for higher-value collections depending on the value and quantity of items.
